gel-card-003.jpg  I always enjoy the TLC challenges, but this one tops my list.  This card was so much fun to make.  It’s quite simple to do and you can find the tutorial here:  Beate’s Gel Card Tutorial .   Basically, you just need your cardstock, some hair gel (clear works best, I think) and a small ziplock bag.  I used a 3 x 4 inch bag.   I found them in general crafts at JoAnne’s.

I needed to keep this pretty simple, because I made it for my son Noah’s 15th birthday (9/24/92).   I saw on SCS (sorry, can’t remember who it was that mentioned it) someone used a pencil eraser to make dots for a background.  I thought this was just genious!   I used the pencil eraser with cool caribbean on the panel behind the dolphin.  It really stands out IRL, but hard to see in the pic as the gel creates a glare in the photo.   Needless to say, he loved the card.

Stamps:  SU!’s Silly Sealife, Linen Background, Sincere Salutations

Colors: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Cool Caribbean, GP White

tfl!
