a-hare-behind.jpg  Here’s another MFTeaser for you!  When I saw this morning’s Sketch Challenge on Splitcoaster, I knew I had to make this.   You see, I’m a procrastinator.   I’m always a hare behind!   And, since I didn’t even get Christmas cards done this year, I figured I probably won’t get Easter cards done either, so I used the new MFT (www.mftstamps.com) set “Eggstra Special Easter” to make a belated birthday card.   Yup, I probably need more of these than I care to admit!

Stamps:  My Favorite Things’ Eggstra Special Easter (bunny, chicks, ‘hey chick’); “I’m a hare behind” is handwritten; Aida BG (SU!)

Colors: Wild Wasabi, GP White, Soft Sky, Regal Rose, Basic Grey Two Scoops designer paper

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copics, Signo gel pen (black)

Accessories: Heart ribbon, brads, dimensionals, circle punches

TFL!~

What Mom  would Say……. Wednesday!

I was thinking alot about this last night as I prepared for another Wednesday.  I needed a picture of one of my cards without the watermark, so I asked my son to go take a picture of the card for me.  Now, he’s 15 years old and quite capable of taking great pictures, but when he brought me the camera with his ’samples’, the first words out of my mouth were.. “Those are terrible!”.   Gack!  His face went to complete dejection.   I spent the next 20 minutes trying to take back those words, but the damage was done.  He was hurt.

My mom used to say.. “Be careful what you say, because the words coming out of your mouth can never be taken back, no matter how much apologizing you do.”   Oh, she was so right.   I need to live by that.

Needless to say, this morning, he’s forgiven me, but it might take longer for me to forgive myself.   Think before you speak needs to be my motto.   I’m working on that, Mom.

TFL!~

I need to work on that, too. (thinking before speaking). You are a good mom, and owning up to your mistakes is a wonderful example to your guys.
