~Serenity Now Minis~

serenity-now-minis.jpg  Today’s Limited Supply Challenge on SCS is simply to use scraps and make a card 4.25 x 4.25 or smaller.   Well, I love Jen’s challenges, but I’m not so sure this one was specific enough for me.. heehee..  I ended up making 4 minis and a box to hold them…. all from scraps!

I don’t know about you, but I need to do this challenge weekly if not more.  I have so many scraps!  I don’t throw anything away that I could possibly punch something out of or at least fit in my cutter to trim.  We’re talking all the way down to 2″ scraps.   All my scraps are organized by my son, Levi.   Every week, it’s his job to put my scraps in their proper bag according to color family.  He does a great job!  Now I need to use them more!

And since these little 3 x 3 cards were so quick to make, I made a box again… lol.   I think it would make a nice little set for a friend of mine who is always getting her friends together.   In fact, I have to go work with her in an hour or so, so I think I will finish off the inside of the cards and bring them to her :).

Stamps: Serenity Now by My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com)

Colors: Basic Black, GP White, Real Red, Pretty in Pink

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copics

Accessories: Brads, ribbon, dimensionals, word window punch, swiss dots EF*

* I’m sorry Judy, I know I said I would give it a rest, and I did yesterday, but I NEEDED it again this morning :)

Thanks, Marisa, for bringing to my attention that it’s FRIDAY and I need a sketch!  I have been so busy today, I nearly forgot!

I will put one together within a couple hours and have it posted!!   Sorry, girls!  Life gets in the way sometimes :)

These cards and box are so so sweet and a perfect gift! I checked out the tutorial — eek! Can you come over and just show me? I am so bad at measuring. But I am going to give it a try this week!

Glad someone else saves every bit of scrap :) My only problem is that I don’t have a “Levi” in my house to sort ming out…hmmmm….may have to recruit my 9 year old daughter to do this :) Loving all the little boxes you’re making. They are lovely and a great gift.

Do we get a sketch this Friday or does the box template count as the sketch this week? Always loving your layouts so can’t wait for the next one even if it has to be next week :)
