~Stipple Anniversary~

stipple-anniversary.jpg  Happy Monday!  I trust that all you mothers had a fabulous Mother’s day! 

I didn’t get to stamp all weekend as we spent the time with my MIL in Pennsylvania.   She just got out of the hospital (degenerative disk disease).  When I saw this morning’s challenge (combine embossing with watercoloring) I geeked!  I really have NO experience with watercoloring… don’t even own gamsol.   I know.. that’s a shame, huh?!   Well, I persevered and got the prismas out… used a blending pen and some mineral spirit fixative stuff that i found.  I was pleasantly suprised at how well it came out… even considering I was on the phone the whole time with Ann (SCS’s abmurray)! 

Ok, now for the funny part…. DH comes to me this weekend and he asks if I would make a card with my favorite set and favorite colors….. why?  Our anniversary is coming and he refuses to BUY cards for me..lol.  So…. THiS is MY anniversary card! teehee.

Here’s my deets:

Stamps: Stipple Rose (retired SU!); sentiment by Verve Visual

Colors: Watercolor white, Purely Pomegranate

Ink: Versamark, Brilliance Graphite Black, prismas

Accessories: brads, ribbon, xacto knife, dimensionals, paper piercing tools

Sorry to hear about your MIL. Sounds very PAINFUL! I’m sure she enjoyed the company to cheer her up a bit.

Nice rose and card. I must say your multitasking (talking and colouring) is impressive - LOL :)
