~Miss You~

 I’m a hunting widow this morning.  DH awoke at 4am (I was already awake) and we had coffee together before he headed out.  It was so quiet in the house! :)  He asked if I was going back to bed, then added “Not likely if you get on that computer”.  I hate it when he’s right..lol.   I jumped online and caught the inspiration challenge.  You can view it here.

I was immediately drawn to the first photo.  The greens and creams and browns are so gorgeous and rich.   Since I chose to go with rich colors, I decided I was going to keep it simple and tidy.   The old olive layer is 1/2 embossed with Swiss Dots.  The flower and pot are cut out and popped on dimensionals.   I didn’t even want a bow, so I went with a little buckle for accent.  I added the handwritten sentiment as I’m sending this to my brother and his wife who have moved to Texas just a few months ago.  I really miss my bro!!

Colors: Chocolate Chip, River Rock, Old Olive, Very Vanilla

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, copics, brown fine tip marker (for sentiment)

Accessories: walnut brads, velvet ribbon, HPH buckle, circle punches, swiss dots EF

Oh Holly……I just found your blog and I love, love, love your work!! Could I make a request??? Please, please, please make your pictures larger. I unfortunately have to click on each individual picture to be able to see it in all it’s beauty! There are probably a few of us out there, that are still young but have a few vision impairments.

Sorry to hear your DB moved. That’s tough if you are really close. My DB and I bought a place and lived together for 4 years before I got married. People couldn’t believe we actually lived together, but we are the best of friends. Miss not seeing him as much now that he too is married and though he is just one hour away it seems so much further based on our busy schedules.

Hope DH has a successful hunting excursion and you get to eat some yummy venison :)

What is it with brother’s moving to Texas, that is where mine is, and I miss him so much(well technically, he is on a frigate for the Navy, but stationed in Texas). Super cute card!!
