Lots of wonderful things to see, GREAT food, lots of English spoken around and the people are friendly. Sure they will love the card too :) I vote for the cruise to Alaska if you are departing from Vancouver because then I can come down tot he pier and meet you :). I hear it is a gorgeous scenery there, but definitely not sit-by-the-pool-deck type of weather. I think I'd actually go for the Western Caribbean myself. Sorry for rambling!
