you-rock.jpg  I feel rushed this morning… it’s already 11:30 and i’m just now getting around to posting something.

I loved Beate’s tutorial for this suprise pop up card.  Thanks to Beth for pointing it out.  Being in a rush, I slapped this baby together in all of 15 minutes.  I used DP for the front (it’s like cardstock), and winged the rest.  I really needed a young boy’s birthday card, so I went with the Pun Fun ellie as my nephew loves ellies.   I also chose the sentiment “You rock” as he is part of a youth band.  What do you all think?  Is it too girlie?

I hope not as I need to mail him something TODAY! :)

Here’s my deets:

Stamps: Pun Fun; You Rock by MFT

Colors:  DCWV DP, Lovely Lilac, GP White

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Green Galore, Copics

Accessories: brads, ribbon, dimensionals, scallop circle punches, scoring blade, sticky tape, designer label punch.

TFL!~ and have a blessed day.

Cute hippo card - love the sentiment based on his being in a band. You are the queen of puns :)

My only comment would be to maybe change the lilac to black, brown or grey for more “boy” type colorus or have the card madefrom blue with black and grey or red instead - those colours just seem to be more “guy” colours to me. Straight lines instead of scallops make it less “fooffy” for a guy, but then who am I to say as I have no idea how old he or if he will just be thrilled to get a card! Go with your gut :) I’m sure he’ll love whatever you send him.
