patchwork-friend.jpg  Good Morning!

It is a saucy morning here in Western New York.  Not so hot, but muuuuuggy!  I took the opportunity to spend some much needed time in the studio..  I apologize right off for not having a sketch yesterday, but I spent all day at an appointment that should have only taken an hour or so.   Yikes!

First, is my Inspiration card.   I had a tough time choosing which to go with and of course, I decided to DUPLICATE the toughest one.  Each little square (1.5″ x 1″) is embossed with the image and aged with Tim Holtz tea bag distressing ink.  I got a headache trying to figure out the math…. so I called on my 15 yr old to do it for me :)

Here’s the deets:

Stamps:  Oh, So Lovely and Fancy Flexible phrases (SU!)

Colors: Really Rust, Garden Green, River Rock, Summer Sun, Basic Black

Ink: Versamark, prisma pencils, Brilliance Graphite Black, Tim Holtz tea bag distressing ink

Accessories: ribbon, dimensionals, oval punches, copper EP, stipple brush.

Ok, now for the sketch challenge!

Here is our sketch this week (THSC17):

thsc17.JPG   As usual, it’s a suggestion… flip it, embellish, whatever it takes!  This is not a contest… just some fun :).   Per Marisa’s request, I went super easy this week.   Have fun, Marisa :)

Here’s my card for the sketch:

one-and-only.jpg  I went with Bronc Buster as I have only used this set ONCE and have a tough time justifying that.  I need to either use my sets more or start moving them off my shelves and into the sell pile.

Here’s my deets on this one:

Stamps: Bronc Buster, Starstruck (SU!)

Colors:  Chocolate Chip, Mello Moss, Cosmo Cricket DPs (oh so yummy!)

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Accessories: star brads, chocolate velvet ribbon, circle punch, star punch, ticket corner punch, slit punch, dimensionals

TFL!~ and have a blessed day!

Oh my Holly, I just LOVE this card!!! The colours are fabulous (I just love all the autumn colours) and I love how you used the flowers in the squares and added the lovely sheer ribbon. A real stunner!!! Had to laugh re: the math - I am NOT a numbers person and would have to revert to my DH to help me out. Glad your son was available :)

Also a BIG thank you for the sketch this week :) Will definitely give it a go - maybe even twice!! Feeling good after defending our title as the parents three legged race winners at the kid’s Sports Day yesterday third year running - can you tell I’m just a little bit competitive - LOL ?!! I told my DH that since I haven’t been able to play ball or ski since we had kids that I’ve had to stoop to being competitive in the school’s annual cake decorating contest for their Spring Carnival and the three legged race on Sports Day….so sad, I know, but I’d shrivel up and dies without some outlet for my competitive spirit.

Gotta run, have to take my son to his soccer game. Have a great weekend - I’ll link up my sketch attempt when it/they are done. Blessings.
