shimmery-birthday-wishes.jpg  Happy Monday, Ya’ll

Today’s technique challenge (shimmer and glimmer) kinda stumped me since I have no Perfect Pearls.  So, I got a little creative and used Pearlescent watercolors (silver), water and real red reinker.   We (my son is off today) sat here mixing the concoction for a good bit before we could finally get the silver specs to show up in the mist, but it worked!

Photography was a whole nother story,  I took 8 pictures and not one really shows the shimmer, so I guess you’re just going to have to take my word for it…. or ya’ll  can drop by and take a look :)

The main image was stamped in Versamark on Real Red, embossed in black detail, then colored with more pearlescent watercolors.  The whole thing really shines.  The 2nd and 3rd layers are on dimensionals, this creativing the inverted sentiment.

Here’s my deets:

Stamps: Cherry Blossoms by Rubber Stampede, Circle of Friendship by SU!

Colors: Real Red, Basic Black, Glossy White

Ink: White Craft, Versamark, Red reinker, pearlescent watercolors

Accessories: brads, ribbon, dimensionals, paper piercing tools, circle punches, waterbottle, black EP

TFL!~ and have a blessed day!

Gorgeous card!! Question ~~ I’ve heard of stamping with Versamark then on your dye ink pad in order to emboss, does it make your dye pad all ooky??? Or do you wipe it with something each time you do this? Do you have to reink after? The only craft pads I have are white & black, & I’m not quite up to buying all the craft pads & if this is a good alternative for the time being I’d like to try it.

Wow, I’m off the fence now, thanks to you! I’m going to finally buy that stamp after a year of staring at it and taking it out of my cart. You have done it justice my dear. This is an awesome card and you are so very gifted.
