~ Totally Ghoul ~
October 31st, 2008 by Holly McMillen
This is my Aunt Marci… dressed as a zombie for Halloween. Now, you must know that my aunt Marci is 61 yrs young and has survived cancer four times. She has the most insane sense of humor and keeps us in stitches most of the time. Can you imagine at 61, she STILL loves to dress up for Halloween?! She is going to work today dressed like this and says that if anyone asks her what she is, she is simply going to respond with “Dead!”.
We have quite a few little ”monsters” in our neighborhood, so I spent some time this morning making them treat bags. I wish I could have made one for all the kids, but there are a zillion in the neighborhood, so we narrowed it down to the very special ones. I purchased candy/treat bags from Walmart and made the toppers with There She Goes Spooky Silhouettes and Karen Foster Snap stamps.
We stuffed them with goodies! 🙂
Here are the deets on the treat bags:
Stamps: Spooky Silhouettes (bat) by There She Goes; Karen Foster Snap Stamps
Colors: Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie, GP White, Paper Studio DP
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, white gel pen
Accessories: ribbon, circle punches, small scalloped punch, oval punches, dimensionals, treat bags, staples, scoring blade
TFL and have a Ghoul day~
Adorable goody bags! And your aunt seems like a hilarious lady!!!! Happy Halloween 🙂
Those bags are so cute Holly! I think that I may have to make some today too…
I want to meet your aunt! I sure could use some laughter in my life!
You Aunt sounds like a hoot! I love that she right into the Halloween festivities!
Way to go Aunt Marci!!!! Life is too short to not have some fun. Sounds like she is a survivor and enjoys every day of her life — someone who I’m sure is an inspiration to many.
Sure your treat bags will be enjoyed by those who get them. They look great.
What a kick! I love Aunt Marci! Hee! These are the cutest little treats! Had I know I woulda come trick or treatin’ at your house! I would dressed like Aunt Marci!
I want an Aunt Marci!!!!
