espressing-my-thanks.jpg  Happy Tuesday!

Well, the challenge was thrown out there by Jessica at There She Goes for the design team members to create a card using one of the new (soon to be released!) sets.   The challenge was to create the card and decorate the inside as well.   Great one Jessica 🙂  It was a lot of fun doing this for multiple reasons…. first, I love to decorate the insides of cards, though I don’t usually do it until I’m ready to send it out.   Secondly, my Aunt Marci got in on the act!

As soon as Marci saw this new set, Let’s Get Together, she saw retro.   She started hunting through my patterned paper and came up with this gorgeous color combo herself!   She sat with me.   She cut things out, and she advised me of ‘her ideas’ for ‘our card’.   We did a little paper piecing, paper piercing and alot of fussing :).   It was what was keeping us awake as we waited for my cousins and their kids to arrive from California!

Yup… the gang is almost all here.   Tonight, my Granny and two oldest aunts arrived, as well as my cousins (Monica, Christy and Monica’s husband Ralph) and their kids.    More are to arrive tomorrow and the rest will get here Wednesday.    The girls talked a mile a minute and kept us up until nearly 12:30am.    We finally shoved them out and told them to go get some sleep! heehee!

So, needless to say, I am still up at 1am, putting the finishing touches on this very retro card (and envelope!  I figured why not go the last mile).

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  There She Goes’ Let’s Get Together  to be released December 1st
