Happy New Year!

The winds of change are blowing.   I can feel it in the air.   This new year, 2009, is going to be bringing many changes to my life…. some good, some excellent, and maybe even some not so good.   Whatever it brings, I am ready.    I have felt a stagnancy in my life for some time now and have feared changed, but no more.   I have found renewed strength to make the necessary changes and I want you all to come along on the journey.   I will tell you more about these changes at a later time….. stay tuned!

Today’s WT challenge was an easy one… use silver in your design.   I was thankful for an easy peasy challenge as I did not sleep a wink last night.   After picking up the ‘party boys’ around 1:30am, I just could NOT close my eyes.   I watched TV (which I never do), I read, I surfed the net (even made a purchase at eclectic Paperie!)…. still I could not close those eyes.

So, for my silver embellished card, I pulled out an old favorite, Wild Rose DD.   I first stamped the image in red, then the 2nd step I stamped in versamark and embossed in silver (silver #1).   I added silver brads to my design (silver #2) and some silver cording to my ribbon treatment (silver #3).    I think I got the silver covered! 🙂

I thought it appropriate, considering my state of mind, to pull out God’s Way (SU!) and use this sentiment on my card.   This is one of those times that I don’t have a specific person in mind for the card, but I know so many of my friends could use it!
