Good Morning, Ya’ll!!

Today we will be hopping from design team member blog to design team member blog, taking a peek at the new My Favorite Things sets due to release Wednesday, January 7th at 10pm!    You can follow along the trail of teasers by clicking on the link to the next blog at the bottom of this post.   *I also have a list of all the blog addresses to the left in case you miss something along the way!

My MFTeasers are made with the new Good Knight set.

First, we have ‘My Coaster Cuties’.    I contacted Kim back in December about using this set early for a Christmas present for my favorite neighbors.    Marc and Becky have two adorable little ones, named Kade and Lelia (Lils or Lily for short).    I have been hoarding coasters for some time now in anticipation of doing a project like this and this was the perfect opportunity.

Kade is definitely the King of the household, so I used Good Knight on his half of the project.   Lils is a little princess, so I used the December release, Isabelle Paper doll Set for her side.   I needed a crown for her, so it was hand drawn, embossed in silver and a gem added to the top.   The coasters were covered in Holiday Treasure dp, holes punched and tied together with ribbons.   A very easy project with a ‘aawwwww’ factor, don’t you think?

Next up is Kade’s name frame.    I had never done one of these before, so I gave it a go.    I used the Good Knight set to create a scene, depicting our your master Kade as the HERO of his castle.    The frame was a $3 purchase from Wal*Mart and I used SU!’s headline alphabet for his name.   I actually gave this to Kade for Christmas and he was in awe of it.   His mom told me he could not wait to hang it in his room!

Lastly, a card for the Knight in your life.   Once again, using Good Knight, I stamped and cut out the images and popped them into a scene on my card.    The designer paper is from Making Memories.    I used my new (to me) Martha Stewart embossing border punch to create interest and texture.

As you can see, this is a very versatile little set that can be used for many things!    I hope you have enjoyed your MFTeasers and don’t forget!:

My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com) is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, January 7th from 9-10 p.m. Eastern time. This month there are FOUR new sets being released including a Who’s that Girl set that is Maid for You!

Head over to the MFT forum on www.splitcoaststampers.com to find out all the details and to find out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. We hope to see you there on Wednesday night.

Now, on to the next blog:
