~ A Case of the Cases~

Good Morning, Ya’ll!

Ever wonder what keeps you going?   I am so there, right now.   I have been on a crafting frenzy for the last several days and it shows no sign of stopping.   I don’t know what it is, other than pure mania.   I don’t remember if I have discussed this before, but I am bipolar I.   I have a tendency to cycle quickly (go from mania to depression and back).   Well, over the Christmas holiday, I did a little time in the hospital getting my medication regulated and it seems my new medication is keeping me UP.   I can’t tell if that is a good thing or not.   Although I take medication for sleep, I am not able to sleep.   Oh, I will crash, it always happens.   I will likely sleep for days..lol.

Anyho… since I was up all night, I got a jump on the Featured Stamper challenge!    Wowzers, does Beth know how to pick ’em.   This week’s FS is Jaydekay.   You can view her gallery here.    Isn’t it awesome!?   I cased her THREE times last night!   Heck, I may not be done…lol.

The first one is based on this little bag.

I made these changes:

1) used different nesties (curved rectangles)
2) changed orientation of the bag
3) changed images/colors
4) added a layer

As you can see, I received my new nesties yesterday!   I was bound and determined to use them, too 🙂   I think this little bag came out PDC!

For the second case, I chose this card.

I changed:

1)colors

2) images

3) added a layer

4)moved ribbon (though I kept that the same as I loved it!)

5)and added some gold 1/2 pearls.

This was a simple little card to make and I think it came out nicely.   In retrospect though, I would color the flower a softer shade of pink.

For my third case, I chose these little bags.

I changed:

1) theme

2) rounded the corners

3) different colors

4) different nesties

5) added embellies

I have to say I have not enjoyed casing in a long time.   I don’t case well (I want to make my own!), but I have really enjoyed Judy’s gallery and I hope you get a chance to play along, too!

TFL and have a blessed Sunday!

Wonderful projects, Holly! I love the bags and they’re both so different. The masculine one is very elegant–love the shape and the other is super cute, with the perfect color combination. The card is beautiful and I really like the ribbon treatment. You are such an inspiration to so many stampers, thanks for all you share!

You go girl 🙂 Wonderful cases. The wolf one is stunning!! I may be drawn to that as I just finished the Twilight series (must read if you haven’t read it yet!) and there are wolves in the story.

Thanks for sharing your story. Hope you can get some sleep sooner than later so you don’t crash too hard! In the meantime, we will enjoy all your amazing creations (with a little guilt knowing you should be sleeping).

    Blessings and (((hugs))).

    Hi Holly,
Thank you sharing your wonderful & talented creations with us. There’s so much inspiration on your blog! I know i’ll be visiting your blog again & again…:0) I wanted to ask you if this particular bag was all handmade? Will you be having a tutorial on this OR know where I can find one?

If I didn’t have to work, i’d be UP just like you…:0)

    Aloha,
    Sheryl
