~~ A Laugh… ~~

Good Morning, Ya’ll… Happy Monday!
Happy Monday, you ask?! It is if you’re a STEELERS fan!!! :)~
I don’t know if it was that spectacular superbowl win, or the fact that I needed it, but I slept like a baby last night! My throat is sore this morning from all the yelling (at the tv!), that I did. Ok, enough about football….
So, I woke up to this morning’s Technique Lovers Challenge…. Recessed Windows. This is one I have done many times before, just didn’t know it had a name. I love this technique!
For my recessed window, I die cut Label 2 nesties into my Basic Grey dp and then made a frame for the window. The flower is also popped on dimensionals to add a little more dimension. I think I am stuck on these colors (maybe because it is a common theme in the new basic grey dps.)… but I do love them. So springy!
Here are the deets on my card:
Stamps: There She Goes’ Flowers of Happiness
Colors: Kiwi Kiss, Regal Rose, GP White, Basic Grey dps
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, copic markers
Accessories: candy dot (center of flower), pink velvet ribbon, gold cord, Label 2 nesties, circle punches, MS floral border punch, dimensionals.

Yup, I decided to do a second one……
I am in love with this Easter Lily from Our Daily Bread Designs. It reminds me so much of my mom, who loved lilies second only to roses. This one is for you, Mom.. may you rest in peace.
Several people have asked how I did the window with the nesties. Here is what I did…. I cut my mat to size first, then positioned the ‘window’ nestie where I wanted it on the mat. I carefully placed it in my cuttlebug and cut it. Then I nested the same nestie and the next size up on the ‘window frame’ color and cut that. Voila.. window! Clear as mud? If you want me to show pictures, just ask!
Here are my deets:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs I am The Way
Colors: Really Rust, Creamy Caramel, GP White, Amazing Grace with Flair dps
Ink: Brilliance Graphite black, copic markers
Accessories: gold 1/2 pearls, specialty ribbon, cross charm, Label 1 nesties, MS lace border punch, dimensionals, scissors

OMGosh Holly – both of these are totally GORGEOUS!!!!! The pink/green one had me in raptures (cause I love pink and green) and that stunning window!!!!! I would die of excitement if I got something like that in the mail.
As for the other — isn’t ODBD the best??!! A gorgeous, elegant card, absolutely stunning my friend!!!
