~ Is it a WT Challenge or a Color Challenge?!~

Good Morning!!

I am all mixed up this morning.   I had a weird night… with hubby in pain still, but he slept most of the night and IS feeling much better this morning.   I, being the co-dependent person that I am, could not sleep though.   I kept watching him to make sure he was breathing.   Funny how after 27 yrs, my dh is like one of my children.   I am a professional worrier, too.   I excel at worrying.   I come by it honestly though as my mom was a worrier.

Anywho, I got up this morning a little late because I lounged around on the computer for a time before letting my feet hit the floor (oh the joys of owning a laptop!).    Before I saw the Ways To Use It challenge, I had convinced myself I was going to use these colors today…. do NOT ask me why! LOL

So…. today’s WT Challenge (layered embellies) was doubly challenging for me.

I had in my mind that I *MUST* use Chocolate chip, Close to Cocoa and Taken with Teal.   I fought with these colors to make them work, but I believe I won!   The new set (Irish Blessings) from Our Daily Bread Designs worked well with the colors.   I adore this cross!   I stamped and colored it twice, then cut both out and layered them with dimensionals.   I even found a small piece of teal velvet ribbon!  SCORE!

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs ~ Irish Blessings

Colors: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Taken With Teal, GP White

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, copic markers

Accessories: gold 1/2 pearls, teal velvet ribbon, medium scalloped circle punch, prima, cross charm, MS border punch, scissors, dimensionals.

AND…….. I have some news to share.    I was contacted late yesterday about becoming a member of the Artful INKables design team.   I have been drooling over her (Kristen’s) faeries for some time now and decided that I would YES, indeed, take the offer.   So, if you get a chance, check them out!   You’re going to love what you see!!

    Great card. Love the mini cross in the flower and you did make these colours work together wonderfully (may need to send Emily an e-mail for a SCS CC). My Irish friend would love this one!

    Glad you DH is feeling better. Any updates on Marci. Was thinking and praying for her today.
