~ Simply Rockin’ ~

Good day, ya’ll ~

Man, I a getting a late start today.   I am sluggish from a wee cold I am fighting.   I took Nyquil last night and instead of helping me sleep, it made me hyper!   I thought I may take some during the day today to KEEP me hyper, but then it would probably just make me sleepy..lol.

We (Challenge chasers) waiting a long time this morning to get a challenge and finally Jen came to our rescue with a “Say What You Feel” challenge.   We were to make a sentiment our focal point.   I actually love cards that have the sentiment as the focal point.   They are easy to do and they are so inspiring.

I decided to keep mine real simple and let the beauty of this My Mind’s Eye dp do the talking.   Isn’t this paper luscious?!   I found it at my local LSS.. and oh my was I in love.   I am not sure you can see the shimmer in the photo, but it is really shiney.

I did a recessed window and framed it.. using just some pale pink rhinestones and ribbon to decorate the card.

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs’ Irish Blessings

Colors: Chocolate Chip, Cameo Coral, GP White and MME dp

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black

Accessories: pale pink rhinestones, ribbon, dimensionals, label 2 nesties

~~ Now let’s switch gears and ROCK ON!!~~

When I got these images from Cami at Our Craft Lounge, I squeeled in delight!   I think RockSTAR is sooooo awesome!   What perfect images for your girlfriends!   I was so giddy with excitement over this set I made three samples.

First off, these images called for bold bright colors and fun embellies.   I have chosen some wild combos for these little cuties!   As I was making them, I kept thinking… “Oh!  I want to send this one to…..”

Here are the collective deets:

Stamps:  Our Craft Lounge’s Rock STAR

Colors: Tempting Turquoise, Yo Yo Yellow, Real Red ~ U Rock

Real Red, Basic Black, GP White ~ U Rock, Too

Lovely Lilac, Yo Yo Yellow, GP White ~ Rock On

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copic markers, white gel pen

Accessories: candy dots, ribbon, scissors, dimensionals, MS border punches, circle punch
