Good morning and Happy Friday!

First, I have a confession to make.   I have stayed up all night making valentines as I put it off and put it off and my boys finally looked at me as said “Mom?  Are you EVER going to make these valentines???”

I have tons to share today, so grab a cup of coffee and let’s get busy!

DOLLAR FIND FRIDAY!

~~ Potted Greetings~~

Ok, so today is my day to share a dollar find friday project for There She Goes.   I spent oodles of time scouring through my local Dollar Store for something really cool to alter and ya know what?   They sell everything altered already! Argh!   Anywho… I found these little flower pots 3 for a buck and thought they would be cute as potted greetings.   I also picked up the foam and the popcicle sticks (you get alike a zillion for a buck).

So here is what you need:

potted-greetings-supplies.jpg

Small flower pots (these are about 2″ in diameter by about 3″ tall)

floral foam

designer paper

ribbon

sticky tape

popcicle sticks

stuff to decorate as desired

potted-greetings-pic-1.jpg

First I measured the circumference of the flower pot lid and cut my designer paper accordingly.   I used scissors to cut tiny ‘^’ (inverted Vs) in the designer paper (as shown in the picture below).

potted-greetings-pic-2.jpg

I put sticky tape (1/4″) around the rim of the pot and adhered my paper to the pot.

I then cut a piece of coordinating ribbon the same length as my designer paper and adhered that around the lip of the pot.

I wrapped the bottom of the pot with wide coordinating ribbon and tied it in a knot.

potted-greetings-pic-3.jpg

Cut a piece of the floral foam to fit the bottom of your pot (it should fit snuggly).

potted-greetings-pic-4.jpg

Insert the popcicle sticks into the floral foam and decorate your sticks however you wish!

potted-greetings-pic-5.jpg

Easy peasy, eh?

And finally…. I did today’s Limited Supply challenge.   Well, I tried anyway.    We were to step outside our comfort zone and do things we have never done before or rarely do.

kindred-spirits.jpg

I do ALOT of different things, so it was difficult for me to pick something I never do (and have the tools to do it!)…. so I went with Clean and Simple and I did heat embossing (which I rarely do).

Now, aside from being my favorite colors, this card has NOT grown on me yet.   I like the concept and I ADORE red, but maybe it is just a touch too much red, kwim?   I’ll probably adore it once it has left my house! LOL

Here are the details:

Stamps: Bronc Buster and So Many Sayings (both SU!)

Colors: Real Red and Basic Black

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black and Versamark

Accessories: fabric, black embossing powder and white gel pen (a few accents)

Thanks for stopping by!   Hope you have a blessed day 🙂

I’ve been praying daily for my family to heal. My faith has gotten stronger through these hard times in my family. I am now spending more time making Christian cards and this stamp set is absolutely beautiful. My sister is dying of a rare sarcoma of the bronchial tube and aorta and we are blessed for another day with her. If nothing else just pray she is no longer in pain. My 82 year old mother is in a law dispute with my sister (her daughter of course) because my sister changed my brother’s benefiary to herself after 34 years of being married & divorced to 2 woman…he kept it in my mother’s name. My brother passed away in June and I ask that we just pray for my sister. Thanks for the prayers and I thanks for sharing with us such a great gift.

I am running a small internet marketing business as my side business. This has helped me cut time when I’m free from my busy schedule. I really get satisfaction when I am my own boss.
