~Scripture Led~

Good morning, Ya’ll…

Ok, so I got this cool new phone… a Blackberry Curve.    I was surfing the net last night looking for new applications for my new toy and I found an interactive Bible program.   How cool is that?   I tend to be ‘on the go’ alot, with four boys and their different activities and places they need to be, so I thought this program would be perfect for those times I am sitting in the car waiting on them.   I have to be careful though… embellishing my new ‘toy’ is akin to embellishing a card… I tend to want it all!  That would bite into my stamp money!

Today I am going to share my challenge cards/project from yesterday and today.    First is my project from yesterday’s Ways To Use It challenge.   I will admit straight up that this did NOT come out as I envisioned it.

I took a piece of DP (striped of course!) and traced my plaque onto the back and cut it out.   I positioned my sentiment piece and the piece I was using for my image on the back of the DP and cut a small opening for each.   Then I took my DP outside and started burning holes in it with a bic lighter… until my opening was just the size I needed for my images.   If you do this, you must be very careful and burn very small areas at a time or your paper will go *POOF* up in smoke!

Here are the deets on this one:

Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs‘ I am the Way and Keep My Lamp Burning

Colors:  My Mind’s Eye DP and GP White

Ink: Brilliance Grapite Black, copics

Accessories: candy dots, ribbon, dimensionals, lighter, scissors

Now, today’s challenge (LSC) was to use green in our limited card.   No problem.   I wanted to combine this with Jen’s CAS02 challenge to use a single button, also.    CAS cards are sooooooo hard for me, but I think I am starting to get the hang of it.   Besides, if I get stuck, I can always hop on over to JulieHRR’s gallery or blog for some inspiration!

So, all I did here was cut an oval with my oval nesties and use it as a template to sponge on the Kiwi Kiss.   Then I stamped the sentiment and images… put on some ribbon and this gorgeous fabric covered button… threw a little photo corner on for balance and voila.. done.

Here are the deets:

Colors: GP White

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Kiwi Kiss

Accessories: fabric button, ribbon, dimensionals, oval nesties, photo corner punch, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by and I hope and pray you have a blessed day!
