Good Morning, Ya’ll~
I have been sleeping so well since moving into the new house. But last night, for some reason, I couldn’t sleep. I jumped online late last night and viewed the Sketch Challenge for today, but instead of stamping, I just played around on the computer with my MS Paint program, trying to come up with some new sketches and ideas. I love doing that… it helps me get creative without waking the whole house 🙂
Today’s sketch is pretty straight forward. I did have a dickens of a time figuring out how wide my strips needed to be. I always turn it into a math equation and to tell the truth, I was never that good at math! 🙂
I absolutely love this new set from My Favorite Things. It is just PACKED with beautiful images by Sara Williams. The MFT girls did a blog hop today with the new images… you should check it out by starting at Kim’s blog here. I was unable to join in due to a previous commitment, but that doesn’t mean YOU can’t hop along 🙂

And finally, if any of you are the praying kind, we are once again in need of prayer. As you know, we signed the lease for our new home and moved in this past weekend. Well, yesterday, Don (my DH) was laid off. There was no warning whatsoever. In fact, his boss just verified with our new landlord that his job was secure. We are scratching our heads trying to figure out why this has happened at this time, but whatever the Lord has in store for us, we are ready.

Hello. I am new to your blog, I found it on the ODBD Anniversary Blog Hop. I am so glad that I did. I am so sorry to hear about your husband’s job loss. I lost my job over two years ago, and we almost lost our home, so I absolutely know what you are going through. All I can say, is just to keep praying everytime you can fit it into your days. I am convinced that is what saved us. I will say a prayer for you and your family. Hang in, and God Bless.

I will definitely be praying for your Holly! We’re taking it day by day here as well. It’s very scary times. Your card is gorgeous though and I do the same thing with the math equations! LOL
Hi Holly, I was looking over the blog hop blogs again (at a slower pace this time to checkout everyones blog and read your post!
I’m so sorry to hear of your husband’s job loss! I wanted to encourage you! Last May, we rec’d the same news, after my husband returned to work from our cross country vacation trip!
No warning, though looking back we can see how the Lord prepared us in certain ways, that was hard to see at the time!
All the concerns went through my head for our family of six…but I can testify God is faithful! We now have a much stronger trust and intimacy with the Lord and he has totally taken care of us! Totally!!!! We have not had to rely on anyone but Him, I get excited just thinking of his blessings! So don’t be moved by what you see or hear in this natural world but only by what God’s word says! That’s the only real truth!!!
