Good morning, ya’ll 🙂

Well, it’s the 20th of the month again, so you know the Dirty Dozen and Alumni are challenging each other to a new task.    Today is all about a few of my favorite things.

The challenge before us is to create a Mother’s Day/Father’s Day gift/card using our favorite things (stamps, techniques, embellishments etc.)   There are no other limitations.

When I think “favorite stamp”, my mind immediately goes to the Stipple Rose by Stampin’ Up!.   My mom was Joyce Rose.   Her favorite things were roses and anything that incorporated a rose.   I guess she passed that on to me.

My Favorite colors are Red, Black, Green and White.    My favorite technique is Tole.    My favorite embellishments … cuttlebug and nesties.     My current favorite addition to a card is little sentiment tags.    So with that you get:

The designer paper I used here is NEW to me.. it is called Urban Garden by SU!.   It is quickly becoming a new FAVORITE though 🙂    The rose was stamped three times.   I cut the whole thing out first, then two different layers of the main bud.   Each layer is on dimensionals.

Here are my deets:

Stamps: Stampin’ Up!’s Stipple Rose (long ago retired); Holiday’s Galore by There She Goes

Colors: Basic Black, Real Red, GP White, Urban Garden dps

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, copics, white gel pen for accents

Accessories: red velvet ribbon, white tiny grosgrain, 1/2 pearls, SU eyelet border punch, nesties 2 dies, photo corner punch, word window punch, heart punch, swiss dots ef, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!   I hope you have a truly blessed day.
