~ Patriotic Text ~
June 18th, 2009 by Holly McMillen
Good day, ya’ll!
I can’t even begin to tell you what a nutsy couple of days I have had. I thought having the boys home for the summer was going to make life easier, since I don’t have to drop them at school and pick them up….but Nooooooooooo…. they still want to go places… imagine that! I am going to put a ‘taxi’ sign on top of my car and start charging!
So I made myself a promise that I would spend the day in my studio catching up on projects. I have so much that needs done and DH will be home tonight, so that will cancel out any time I could use tomorrow!
Today’s Ways To Use it challenge is all about using text in your project.
I have to giggle a little at myself. I pulled out this cool text paper and used it in my project, only to realize after I was done that the text is FRENCH! So here’s my justification…. the French gave us the Statue of Liberty…. ’nuff said.
Here are my deets:
Stamps: Our Craft Lounge‘s Let Freedom Ring
Colors: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Buckaroo Blue, GP White, Paper Studio dp
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, copics, white watercolor pencil, chocolate chip
Accessories: tiny buttons, oval punch, label 2 nesties, ribbon, MS border punch, stipple brush, ribbon, scissors, xacto knife, string
