~ A Sneaky Hop ~

Good morning, friends!

I am trying in desparation to remain optimistic in spite of yesterday’s tragic news.   I am asking for a moment of silence for all this world has lost.   To begin, Farrah.   She was, in my day, an icon.   Everyone wanted Farrah’s hair.   She was not only a beautiful person on the outside, but as genuine on the inside as they come.   In her later days, her strength in face of adversity was nothing less than amazing.   I only hope that when my time comes, I can be 1/10th as gracefully.

And finally, Michael.   Well, I grew up with Michael Jackson.   I must admit that when I was around 7 yrs of age, I had a HUGE crush on Michael.   My friends and I would play his records and dance.   He made you do that, ya know….dance.   I was saddened by the seemingly perversion of his later life, but it is not mine to judge.   I only pray that he made peace with his Lord before this day.   Michael, we will always have Ben.

Ok!  *Sigh*  now on to happier things!   You’re here for a blog hop, aren’t you?!   Well if you arrived from Faith’s blog, you are in the right spot.   If not, you should start back at  Jessica’s blog to get the full show.

Today we are sneak peeking a new set called Life’s A Beach.   Totally and completely awesome images and sentiments!

Now, I must confess.   I had a mental block while I was making this card.   Maybe it was the stress of the day.   I kept looking at it and KNOWING that it needs something more, but for the life of me I could not find what that THING was.   I am open for suggestions!!

Oooo! I hate it when I know something is missing but can’t figure out what! It’s a fab layout for these stamps. How about matting the green panel with some of the Summer Sun paper? Or stamping one of the other sentiments or images in versamark all over it? Just some suggestions. 🙂

I think the card looks great as it but if you want to jazz it up, maybe add some bling around the pinked edges? (maybe a bit of a homage to the King of Pop?) 🙂

I can’t say enough how I’m loving this blog hop so far!

Nice post. How true about Farrah and Michael…. Seems a bit surreal today.

Your card is adorable just the way it is! If you arent happy with it, you might try just a teensy bit (maybe 1/8″ strip) of the striped DP at the top of the green border? Or maybe just stamp the center drink again, color and pop it up? Dunno – it’s so stinkin’ cute the way it is!!!

What a great idea with the drinks in the windows. I love the orange slice on the side too! Thanks for sharing!

I think the card looks great. I love the way you cut out the pinked circles to make frames for the drinks. Really cute.

I love your adorable card! Wish my MS border punch worked…..had to return it.

Yup, remember EVERYONE wanting to have Farrah’s feathered bangs and getting them, and then there was me with curly hair that would NEVER feather into bangs…however, I was redeemed when the first perms came out and I didn’t have to pay for them, get them or have them fry my hair because my hair did it all on its own 😀 I used to make people try and guess if mine was natural or permed – it was great fun. Permed in Heaven I saw 😉 As for Michael, I still stand in awe of that Thriller album – SO many great hits on it and that guy could dance! Fred McMan was the other one — the “Heeeeeeere’s Johnny voice” as well as the star search guy. Made me think about what I want others to remember about me when I leave this world – good food for thought as I want to make sure I glorify God in all I do and live my life for Him and not myself and to share His love with a truly hurting world. So there is an upside to all of this.

On to the card. I love it. Great colours. Only minor tweek I can think of is an orange frame around the images to put a bit more orange on the upper part of the card and balance off the green. Love the orange in the corner! Great job.

I think it is just perfect as it is! And I am mourning today right along with you! It is so sad to lose such beauty (Farrah) and talent (MJ).
