~ Brighten My Day ~
July 13th, 2009 by Holly McMillen
Good morning, friends…
It is a sad day here. My beloved camera is dying. Yes, I know… it is just a camera, but it has served me well for the last six years. I suppose it is time to put it to rest and move on.
As you can see by my recent pictures, the left side of my pictures are blurry, while the right side are crisp and clear. I have sought help, but the consensus is that I need a new camera. I suppose I can make take solice in knowing I get to go shopping now :).
So, this morning’s TLC is Faux Grid Cards. Pretty cool technique.
I did the grid that the image is on in a smaller pattern than the background to give it an offset look. I think it came out pretty well.
Here are my deets:
Stamps: There She Goes‘ Bloom
Colors: Old Olive, GP White, Summer Sun, Basic Black
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, copics
Accessories: ribbon, 1/2 pearls, label 4 nesties, ruler, black sharpie, dimensionals, oval punch, hole punch

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a blessed day

Oh Holly, I’m sorry to hear about your camera. 6 years is a long time.
Your card is so beautiful!! I’m off to check out the technique.
Your card is just stunning, Holly!
i am so sorry about your camera…although the last time I had this same issue, it was because the left portion of my lens was smudge with my DS’s fingerprints. I don’t suppose it is something this easy to fix….so sorry!!!!!!
sorry about your camera, i actually like the softened edge, thought it was intentional! it looks pretty!
beautiful card! loved the grid.
