~ OCL Spotlight Set of the Week ~
August 31st, 2009 by Holly McMillen
Good morning, again!
It’s rare that I have two posts in one day, but here we are :). This week’s Spotlight Set of the Week for Our Craft Lounge is For-Bitten. Now, we know that Twilight is the rage right now, so this set is sure to be a hit.
I have precious little time to read lately, which kinda bums me out. I love to read. Getting into a good book is so soothing and therapeutic. I did read the first book of the Twilight series and barely started the second. I am kinda waiting til the second movie is closer to finish the second book so that I will be on track. I keep hearing that the fourth book is the best. We’ll see!
I was having alot of fun making this card today… using the Technique Challenge on SCS… because I can think of several reasons I would give a “bite me” card to someone…hahaha!
I used the tiny set of vampire teeth in the set to make the ring around the image. Then I used glossy glaze on the teeth to give them shine. It felt kind of plain at first, so I added a couple of pierced corners and the button.
Here are my deets:
Stamps: Our Craft Lounge’s For-Bitten
Colors: Basic Black, Riding Hood Red, GP White
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, Tim Holtz’ tea bag distressing ink
Accessories: ribbon, button, floss, piercing tool, oval punch, circle punch, sponge, dimensionals, glossy glaze
