~ Can We Talk Christmas? ~
September 6th, 2009 by Holly McMillen
Good day, ya’ll!
I know, I know… nobody wants to think about Christmas just yet, but let’s face it, it is creeping up on us fast and furious! I took my first Christmas card order yesterday. Yikes!
So, back to the fundraiser. I am making these cute little Hot Cocoa treat mugs to sell. I found the mugs at Walmart for $1.25 each. They are really a great size! I purchased some of the long celophane candy bags from the candy/cake making area. Inside one I put enough hot cocoa for about three cups. In another I put a generous helping of mini marshmallows. And finally, in the third bag, I put two short fat peppermint sticks.
On the back of the tag, I have placed a little poem that reads:
When the weather outside is frightful,
Snowman Soup can be delightful.
May it warm your spirit and your soul.
Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!
When you feel a chill or ‘burrrrrr’,
Use the peppermint stick to stir.
Add hot water and sip it slow.
Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow.
I wrapped it all up and attached the tag. Easy peasy!
I am making several of these today, so I better get to it!
Here are my deets:
Stamps: JustRite Holiday Demi Phrases, SU!’s Snow Flurries
Colors: Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla, dp by Paper Studio
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, Tim Holtz teabag distressing ink, bashful blue
Accessories: blue 1/2 pearls, snowflake punches, eyelet border punch, sponge, jute, hole punch, circle punches, cocoa mix, mini marshmallows, ribbon, peppermint sticks

What a darling idea, Holly! Love the poem, too.
This is too stinkin’ cute!!! Love it! I’m off to Wal Mart tomorrow to see if they still have mugs……I hope you didn’t buy them out! Please share the details of your upcoming fundraiser….when and where. I’m in hostess club with you at Carn’s. I’d love to come.
Thanks for sharing,
Pam
This is great, Holly! Love the wrapping, the tag and the poem. Well done, I’m sure they will be a hot item (no pun intended LOL!)
What a cute idea - could you please share the list of ingredients. Thanks, JaneAnn
