Hi Friends!

Do you all remember back when I said I wouldn’t ever get on the digital bandwagon?   I stood on my soapbox and ranted about my preference of having a stamp in my hand.    Well, guess what?   I was wrrrr.  I was wrooo.   I was mistaken.

The other day, I came across a card in the SCS gallery that had this sentiment on it (see card #1).   I laughed myself silly.   I *had* to get that sentiment, so I clicked through to the Whimsie Doodles website and found that and some more.   Anyone who knows me, knows I have a whacked sense of humor and this just fits me to a tee.

What I found on the Whimsie Doodles site was more than just adorable images.   I found that digitals can be a godsend to those of us who need ‘instant gratification’.   Not moments after I made my very reasonably priced purchase (2 images with sentiments and the template for the boot), the links were in my inbox and I was printing away.

Ok, so how funny is this?!   I have teenagers, so it works great for them, but also for just about any of my crazy family members would totally get this humor.

Deets for this card:

Stamps:  Whimsie Doodles’ digital Christmas Undies

Colors: Riding Hood Red, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla, GP White, Basic Grey Wassil dp

Ink: copics

Accessories: ribbon, candy dots, nesties, circle punches, scallop circle punches, candy cane embossing folder, eyelet border punch, dimensionals

And then I found this:

Isn’t this boot fab?!   The download comes with the boot pattern, as well as all the accessory patterns.   I did computer generate the sentiment, because I wanted something a little whimsical.

For the bell strap and the boot soul, I covered them in versamark and then in clear embossing powder and heat set them.  They really shine…but that’s hard to capture in the picture.

Deets on the boot:

Stamps: none (sentiment is computer generated)

Colors: Garden Green, Real Red, GP White, Basic Black, Basic Gray

Ink: Copics, Versamark

Accessories: Boot template from Whimsie Doodles, Ribbon, embossing strips,  clear embossing powder, circle punch, scalloped circle punch, cord, dimensionals, gold ornament glaze

I also downloaded another image/sentiment from Whimsie Doodle.   I am going to save that one for another day, but it is soooooooooooo cute!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!   I hope you have a blessed day!

Had to comment, I too drug my feet with the digital age. I was NEVER going to surrender! BUT, found a cute cupcake christmas card a couple of weeks ago, and I loved Whimsie Doodles too! Never say NEVER!

Your cards are really nice, but I really had to leave you a comment because you made me laugh out loud talking about how you were “mistaken” about digital images. TFS your cards, and your humor.

I came here from Susanna Boyd’s blog! I love this!! I have the pleasure of being on the Whimsie Doodles DT and think you have done a fabby job on both of your projects. Can’t wait to see what you do next.

Glad to see you ventured into the digi world a bit! Wink!

My Mum called last night to tell me she’d bought undies for my daughter for part of her Christmas morning loot (Granny gets to give only fun gifts, but it doesn’t stop her from *buying* the necessities, LOL!) I had to tell her about your card and I don’t think I’ve heard her laugh so hard in ages! Thanks for bringing a chuckle to our lives and for sharing your gorgeous (and hilarious) card! …and thanks to Whimsie Doodles for providing a great digi-stamp.

Holly, your cards are fabulous! I just love Whimsie Doodles (and I’m a bit biased being on the DT….but I would have bought them all anyway!!) and it makes me happy to see that made you try out digital stamps!
P.S. They were my first digis, too!!
