Happy Sunday, Friends :)

As if Christmas was not enough to celebrate, a young friend of ours had her first baby, a girl, on December 22nd.   We are so excited to welcome this little one into the family of God.

For the last couple of days I have been searching my stash of stamps for a baby set.   Do you believe I do not have a baby set?!   What’s up with that??

So, it took some creative juices, which are minimal right now, to create a baby girl card without baby stamps.

I took a 1 3/4″ round punch and punched it in pink pirouette twice.   I cut one of those pieces in half and cuttlebugged it with swiss dots.   Then I used sticky tape to hold the tiny lace to the back of that 1/2 piece.   I took the whole circle punched out and ran it through my scoring blade making like a pie shape.   Then I attached that to the 1/2 piece.   I then cut a piece of pink pirouette about 1/2″ x 3″ and ran that through the cuttlebug with an embossing strip.   The rattle handle is a 1/2″ punch with a 1″ punch around it.

I had created some “b-a-b-y” blocks for the front, too, but they just seemed like too much, so I put those on the inside.

Here are my deets:

Stamps: There She Goes‘ (Congratulations) from Cupcake mix and match

Colors: GP White, Pink Pirouette, Paper Studio dps

Ink: Pretty in Pink, copics

Accessories: ribbon, pink 1/2 pearls,  nesties (oval and label 1),  embossing folders, circle punches, lace, dimensionals, sticky tape, scoring blade.

Thanks for stopping by!   I hope you have a blessed day :)

Oh, this card is so beautiful!! I love the rattle! I just might have to do something like this for my daughter who is having a baby (we don’t know the sex yet since she didn’t want to know until she delivers).
    Have a great New Year!
    Hugs,
