~ Side Steppin’ Froggies ~
January 24th, 2010 by Holly McMillen
Good evening, friends!
Here is to hoping that this week starts and finishes better than the last! I was down with flu symptoms all week, but it is beginning to look like that is all behind me. Yay!!!
Quite a few people have been doing these side step cards, lately. I thought it would make a fun TLC for this week, so I contacted Julie Davison and asked if we could use her instructions. Her directions can be found HERE. Please be kind and give Julie credit if you use her instructions! She was so gracious as to say YES!
I did make a few minor changes. I flipped the side steps to the other side for mine. I also made my largest panel 2 1/2″ wide. It just needed to be that way to accomodate my image.
In hindsight, I would not use lift tape on my next card of this type. It makes it very chunky! 🙂
I made the large mushrooms by punching out circles with my 1 1/2″ circle punch. I punched holes in the top one with various sized hole punches, then layered it on top of a different color circle punch. I used a small oval punch as the bottom side of the mushroom and then just a rectagular piece for the stem.
Here are my deets:
Stamps: Our Craft Lounge’s Fairy Dust is a Must
Colors: Kiwi Kiss, Regal Rose, Summer Sun, PTI white, basic grey dps
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, copics
Accessories: ribbon, brad, candy dots, circle punch, oval punch, hole punches, oval nesties, stickles, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you’ll come over to the TLC forums on Splitcoaststampers and play along!
Hugs!
Holly
This is just adorable.
This is darling, Holly. Great sample of the step card! Those big mushrooms in the back are fabulous as are all the other details. Great card!
Holly, your mushrooms are wonderful. They are so creative.
Totally adorable, Holly! Fab details and coloring!
A friend just called me to tell me all about your card and how fantastic it is. It is everything she said it was. I’m new at this are there any videos on the techinique?
Or shall I just sit down and follow the instructions? Warning: I’m rather challenged by the English words.
