~ On Pins and Needles ~

 wp-postcards-kit-480-328-1.jpg

Good morning, Friends!

Today is the first official hop for the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store design team.   If you’ve arrived here from Deb’s blog, then you are in the right spot.  If not, you really should start back on Sharon’s Stamp Simply Ribbon Store blog.    She will be giving you important information about our hop, which I will sum up at the end of this post.

Our theme today is BE TRUE TO YOURSELF.   I think my project is a definite sample of my typical work.   I have always loved layers.   Over the years, I have dabbled in clean and simple, shabby chic, vintage and one layer, but I always fall back on what feels natural.

 ssdt-pins-and-needles.jpg

I have also been known to cut something out and pop it on my cards as I did with the little flower here.

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  JustRite’s Stitched With Love

Colors: Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, PTI White, Regal Rose, Webster’s Pages dp

Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, copics

Accessories: White satin ribbon, Kaiser 1/2 pearls, Crochet lace, scalloped circle nesties, circle nesties, buttons, embroidery thread, sticky tape, dimensionals

Here are a list of the blogs along the hop:

Sharon Johnson (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store

Deb Saaranen

Holly McMillen   <——You are here 🙂

Michelle Woerner

Sherry Cheever

Linda Duke

Barb Schram

Ok, now for the fun part!  One of you will be eligible to win the Webster’s Pages Postcards from Paris kit!   We have arranged the blogs in the hop in a certain order.   You are encourage to leave comments along the hop.   On Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 6pm EST, a number will be drawn that corresponds with a blog.   Then a 2nd number will be drawn according to the number of comments left on that blog.   The winner (random.org) will be notified by e-mail.   How cool is that?   Let me tell you a little about the kit.   First, it has some incredible papers and lots of them.   Then there are these amazing journal notes in a CD case.   Oh, and there are 1/2 pearls in a nice variety of colors.  And I’m saving the best for last… the ribbon!  Oh, the ribbon!   It is to die for!  You want this.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Ok, now it’s time to scoot you off to Michelle’s blog.   Just wait til you see what she did!!   Thanks so much for stopping by today.   Have a blessed day!

Hugs,

Holly

Gorgeous card – I love the stitching theme. The pearl accents in the corners are perfect. Funny I was just commenting over on Deb’s blog how my “Stitched With Love” is on the way to me right now and I can hardly wait to start creating with it and I was thanking her for the inspiration using this set. Then my next stop is here and you also providing some gorgeous inspiration using the same set………you are making me even more anxious to see my set arrive in my mailbox. 🙂 Thanks so much.
