~ Sugar and Spice ~

blog-header-3-09-10.jpg

Happy Tuesday, Friends!

I love making cards.   I have loved it since the first time a stamp was put in my hand.   I love to play with paper and patterns and punches and pretties.   For this month’s Stamp Simply Ribbon Store blog hop, we have decided to go 3D.

If you have arrived here from Linda Duke’s blog, then you are in the right spot.   If not, you really should start back at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store (Sharon’s blog) to get the full show and the instructions on how to get in on the goodies!

I am going to admit right off the bat that this was not my first choice of projects.   I wanted to create a teapot.   I found an example on someone’s blog, but they used a die to create it and I don’t own such a thing.   I tried, unsuccessfully, to create my own pattern, but the darn thing just wasn’t working out.   I *WILL* persevere and come up with one soon! haha!   So I switched gears and went with this little darling.

 ssrs-sugar-and-spice.jpg

The pram is created using the largest scalloped circle nestie.   I used smaller circle nesties to create the ”frame” (summer sun cardstock).  The basket portion is just a 3″ x 2″ box.   Inside I added a small piece of foam wrapped in material that matches the summer sun cardstock.

ssrs-sugar-and-spice-alternate-pic.jpg

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  JustRite monogram 15pt alphabet and 25pt alphabet

Colors: Summer Sun, GP White, basic black, October Afternoon Ducks in a Row dp

Ink: Versafine Black Onyx

Accessories: 1″ double faced satin, crocheted lace, embroidery floss, buttons, primas, brads, scalloped circle nesties, circle nesties, button strip embossing folder, circle punches, xacto knife, foam, material, sticky tape, word window punch, ducky button

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

There is some really AWESOME candy being given away with this hop.   Our own Barb Schram has created some ribbon flowers and decorated a bucket to hold them.   Along with that, Sharon is giving away a generous assortment of ribbon.   In order to be in the drawing, it is suggested that you leave comments on the blogs along this hop.   A number will be drawn on Saturday March 13th at 6pm EST.   The number will correspond to one of the blogs and then another number will be drawn according to the number of comments on that blog.   YOU could be that winner!

Now it’s time to send you hopping over to Barb’s blog.   What she has to share is sure to delight!  Thanks so much for stopping by!   I have listed below all of the blogs in this hop, in case you get lost :).
