~ A Happy Mistake ~
April 8th, 2010 by Holly McMillen
Good morning, Friends,
I need glasses. Simple as that. For years, I have had better than 20/20 vision and was quite proud of that. My parents both wore glasses. Many of my family members wear glasses. I was at one time, many years ago, prescribed reading glasses, but they made my vison worse. A second eye exam proved that I did not, in fact, need glasses.
Well, that all changed as I started inching higher and higher into my 40s. Now I squint to read directions on packages. I rub my eyes to make them clearer. I’ve even been known to use a magnifying glass! Ugh! It really sucks getting old.
Well, yesterday I checked this week’s TSG challenge and I swear the colors I read were yellow, red and aqua. Cool, I thought. I can do that. So when today’s Ways to Use it challenge was posted, I kept THOSE colors in mind. Wouldn’t you know, the colors are in fact yellow, GREEN and aqua! *Sigh* No matter, I still like my card :).
Our challenge today was to put a slant on our card. I did the three panel thing and slanted the two outer panels.
Here are my deets:
Stamps: There She Goes’ Dance
Colors: RidingHoodRed, So Saffron, GP White, dp
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, copics
Accessories: Ribbon, 1/2 pearls, button, embroidery floss, border punch, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a blessed day!
Hugs,
Holly
Ah yes…..the arms need to get longer and longer now don’ they LOL! I feel your pain, Holly. The forties have not been kind to my eyes either. Nonetheless, your card is wonderfully pleasing to the eye 😀 Great mix of colours. I’ll be posting an award on my blog shortly and I’m passing it on to you. Check it out in about half an hour or so (((hugs)))
This is so refreshing, Holly! Love the color- combo and gorgeous layout! Such a pretty card!
