Good morning, friends 🙂

Happy Saturday!   I know many people look forward to the weekends, but to me it’s just another day on the calendar.  Back when I worked outside the home, I use to sleep in on Saturday mornings and relish every minute of the weekend.   I actually long for those days.

Oh, I have a funny to share.    I wanted to do some stitching on this card.   My sewing machine sits on a little bench next to my desk.   All I need to do is lift it up and sit it on my workspace and commence sewing.   Well this morning, I pulled my little machine up and got my pieces set in place.    I started pressing the (what I thought was)  foot peddle and the machine would not go.   I checked all the cable connections to make sure I had electricity…no problem.   I pressed down on the foot peddle again.   Nothing.   After several minutes of complete oblivion, I looked down under my desk.   Much to my dismay, I had been pressing down on a ribbon spool instead!!   OY!

I made this for today’s Inspiration Challenge.   The site we were referred to is called Jazz it Up.   I found a few things that inspired me… the clocks and the telephones.   That’s what brought me to this:

In this closeup, you can better see our heroine passed out from clorox fumes.   I’m certain that housework does, indeed, kill.  Be careful in there!

I can totally relate to sleeping in on Saturdays and enjoying every minute of it. Can’t sleep in nearly as late anymore, but hubby is wonderful and lets me sleep until 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. on Saturdays and keeps the kids busy so they don’t come in. Loved the sewing machine story LOL! I think we can all relate to having done something similar 😀

Great card! Love way you used the off angle panel and the colouring is fabulous. As for the housework, I think I can relate LOL!

Your story is too funny. It’s one of those that people say…
‘I wouldn’t have told that’,,,but sometimes you just have to tell so it will make you smile all day.

Love the card, I hate housework too…and sometimes I think I inhale too much fumes too !!
