~ A Delicate Situation ~
May 2nd, 2010 by Holly McMillen
Hi Friends!
This weekend zoooooooooooomed past! I woke up a minute ago and it was Saturday! LOL. I did accomplish a lot of things on my ‘to do’ list this weekend. I got some much needed housework/yardwork done. I did a biblical shopping trip. I think the poor girl checking us out thought we had eight kids. I made two large meals (DH doesn’t get much homecooking, being over in Vail all week). I even did some baking!
For today’s Technique Lovers Challenge, we are doing vellum embossing. I know you all must think I have stock in vellum, but I am about to run out, so these vellum challenges may be coming to an end soon… heehee. I also needed to get a Mother’s Day card made as it need to go postal to Pennsylvania by Tuesday.
For this card, I first stamped the Toile Blossoms on the bashful blue cardstock. Then I embossed a piece of vellum for the overlay. I did the little ribbon feature in the corner with my ribbon slot punch. Then I layered on the sentiment panel. The sentiment was computer generated and printed on vellum also.
Here are my deets:
Stamps: Stampin’ Up! Toile Blossoms
Colors: GP White, Kiwi Kiss, Bashful Blue, Vellum
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, copics
Accessories: Ribbon, Kaisercraft pearls from Sharon Johnson’s Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, Label 13 nesties, circle nesties, ribbon slot punch, embossing folder, Bow easy, dimensionals.

I love this. Embossing vellum is so delicate looking. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful card! I’m going to go and get out my embossing folders and some vellum and give it a go. Thank you for the inspiration!
Wowzers Holly this is stunning. Love the soft gentle feel of your card.
This is lovely, Holly. Love how you framed the sentiment and the embossing pattern is lovely.
