~ Out For A Spin ~
July 25th, 2010 by Holly McMillen
Hi Friends!
Well, the craziness of yesterday quieted down a bit today. We did some yardwork, watched a movie, had an easy peasy (sloppy joes!) dinner and I even got a little stamping in. I needed a day like today. This upcoming week is going to be a little more hectic.
For this week’s Technique Lovers Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com, we’re doing Kim Score’s T-Slide cards. I’m going to be the first to admit that this one was a little tricky. My problem is that I watched the video once and read the step by step and thought I could just run upstairs and whip it together. Not so. I did have to bring my laptop up to the studio and do stop action on the video while I was making it. Although, now that I’ve made one, subsequent T-Slides will be easy!
I went with the A2 size card. I did adjust my measurements ever so slightly because of my layering, but that was easy to do. I also used a little image from the Our Craft Lounge Out For A Spin set for the pulley.
I used a little flower soft on the basket and the center of the bike wheels, just for whimsey.
Here are my deets:
Stamps: Our Craft Lounge’s Out For A Spin
Colors: Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, Regal Rose, DCWV “SWEET” dps
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, copics
Accessories: argyle grosgrain ribbon, candy dots, oval punch, circle punch, dimensionals, Aleene’s Tacky Glue, Flower Soft, sticky tape, scoring blade

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you’ll pop on over to the challenge forums on Splitcoaststampers.com and play along!
Hugs!
Holly
Love the flower soft in the basket! Great sliding card!
Glad to hear today was more low key!
