~ In The Garden ~

Hello, friends!

I’ll be the first to admit that when it comes to plants and gardening, I know nothing.   In fact, when I get a flower stamp (except roses), I usually have no clue what kind they are.   Until recently, the most we’ve done to our yard is water, mow and pull weeds.   Since my husband has been home, we’ve kicked it up a huge notch!   Now we have tomatoes, jalepeno peppers, banana pepper, strawberries, melons and assorted flowers growing.   My husband and son have even installed a drip irrigation system for the plants so they get plenty of water.   My yard is finally on par with the rest of the neighborhood! LOL

So, I thought today’s Free 4 All challenge (In the Garden) was appropriate!   Silvia has challenged us to create a card centering around our garden/gardening.   For good measure, I incorporated Our Craft Lounge’s weekly sketch challenge.

When I saw the sketch and Denise’s card, I knew I wanted to put a great big carrot on my card.   The carrot and seed packet are hand drawn.   The Martha Stewart branch punch was perfect for the carrot top!

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  Our Craft Lounge’s Hoppin Into Spring

Colors: Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Always Artichoke, GP White, Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety dp

Ink: Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie, black sharpie, copics

Accessories: zig-zag stitched 1/2″ grosgrain ribbon, piercing tool, sponge, dimensionals, MS branch punch, circle punch

Thanks for stopping by today!   Hop (pun intended) on over to the OCL blog and play along with this week’s sketch!

Hugs,

Holly
