~ Dog-Gone Cute ~
September 9th, 2010 by Holly McMillen
Hello all,
Do you ever have so many things on your ‘to do’ list that you start doubling up on things to get them done? Like making phone calls while showering? LOL just kidding. I kinda feel like that right now, though. I had pretty much set my schedule for this week, but then I got a call to make a card for a friend, then one for my brother, then a card set….. all of the sudden my ‘to do’ list is looking pretty ugly.
I’m actually hoping that Jessica (There She Goes) doesn’t look at my blog today. I have had cards made for her girls that have been sitting on my desk for a week or more. I wanted to make something to go with them, so I made them each a bookmark.
The puppy dog is patterned after Jackie Topa’s puppy on her blog Addicted to Stamping. The bear is patterned after CarrollAnn’s bear on her blog, Carroll’s Corner. The bee, well that’s all me. Each bookmark has the girls names on them.
Here are my deets:
Stamps: There She Goes’ Puppy Love and Bee Happy
Colors: Summer Sun, Basic Black, Vellum, GP White, Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Vanilla, Real Red, Regal Rose, Close to Cocoa
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, copics, Real Red, Tim Holtz distressing ink in Tea Bag and Antique Photo, white gel pen
Accessories: 1/8″ tiny satin ribbon (pink), circle punches, oval punches, hole punches, word window punch, oval nesties, paper shaper heart border punch (for the small hearts), swiss dots embossing folder, sticky tape, dimensionals

And I figured while I was at it I may as well get a card made to cover the Ways to Use it and the Mojo Monday Sketch (MOJO155). Today’s Ways to Use it is using twine.
I stepped a bit out of my comfort zone and mixed a bunch of colors and patterns together. Not sure I’m thrilled with it, but it’s growing on me.

Thanks for stopping by! I’m hitting the hay early tonight so I can have something more to share in the morning!
Hugs!
Holly
Your bookmarks are adorable, Holly!!! Each with their own personality. Thanks for the links too. Great mojo card too. Love the bit of twine in the focal circle. Hope your “to do” list shrinks quickly. My problem is my “to do” list have more none stamping things on it than stamping things LOL! Gotta love September and the start up of school, activities etc. Sleep well 🙂
Cute stuff here, Holly! 🙂
Holly, your bookmarks are just the CUTEST!! I love the animal and bee toppers!! And your card, with the sweet bees hovering over the puppy, is just super precious!!
Holly, the bookmarks are fabulous. Would you like to have the list of my students names so they can get a Holly original too!! 🙂 🙂
