Hello, Friends!!

It’s time again for the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store design team to show off our wares.   This month our focus is on packaging and gift ideas.   So, if you’ve arrived here from Linda’s blog, then you are in the right spot!   If not, I suggest you start back on Sharon’s blog (the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store blog), so you can find out how to win this month’s kit!  See it up there in the header?  Isn’t it fantastic?!

ssrs-september-hop-cake-in-a-cup-ensemble.jpg

Fall happens to be my favorite season.   I love the cool mornings, warm or crisp days and the changing of the leaves.   I’ve lived on both coasts and a couple of states in between.   I can tell you that fall is different in every region of the country.   One of my favorite things that comes with fall is the start of my seasonal crafting.

Not long ago I found this amazing recipe for a Cake in A Cup.   The recipe can be found HERE.   Now I live at a high altitude, so I added a bit more sugar and milk, but it was amazing!   What a great way to have a warm dessert in just a few minutes!

ssrs-september-hop-cake-in-a-cup-ingredients.jpg

The ingredients are so easy and stuff you would have in your house anyway.   Just make sure you use a microwave safe cup!

ssrs-september-hop-cake-in-a-cup-after-microwaving.jpg

Ok, so it’s not the prettiest thing in the world, but with the chocolate syrup drizzled on top….YUM!!!

ssrs-september-hop-cake-in-a-cup-finished.jpg

As part of my project, which will be a gift, I added a 6 x 6 recipe card.   The mug is a $1.25 at Walmart and it’s a good stoneware cup.  It comes in several colors, too!

ssrs-september-hop-cake-in-a-cup-with-recipe-card.jpg

And because I like a hot cup of cocoa to wash down my cake, I mixed up a batch of cocoa and put some in serving size packages.   I used the cellophane envelopes that we stampers put our cards in.   It has a sticky strip at the top to hold it closed.   The topper is just  a folded over piece, decorated with Just Rite’s A Little Caffeine and Celebrations Demi Phrases.  I added a couple peppermint sticks, just for good measure!

ssrs-september-hop-cake-in-a-cup-cocoa-package.jpg

Of course, my set would not be complete without a card to present it with.   I love the warm colors of the Kay & Co. Blue Awning designer papers.

ssrs-september-hop-cake-in-a-cup-card.jpg

All my recipient needs to do is add an egg and a bit of oil and microwave their yummy cake!

Here are my deets:
