~ Love is in the Air ~

Hello, friends!

Welcome to this week’s JustRite Challenge.  There is a wonderful prize package being offered with a value of $100, partially sponsored by The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  All of the Stamp Simply girls are playing today and we hope you can play along with us and at the same time have a chance at winning a fun prize package.  This week’s challenge is Love is in the Air, asking us to create a project reflecting love.  Check out the full details and post your entries at the JustRite Blog.

You know I’m a bit of a rebel.   When I saw the theme “Love is in the air”, of course my mind went to pinks and reds, etc.   I will be using a lot of those colors over the next few weeks as I create valentines, so today I stuck my foot out of the box!

Love, to me, comes in many colors.  Today it’s blue, green and purple! 🙂

I was thinking of my oldest son when I did this project.   He has told me for many years that he loves cupcakes over regular cake.   Even at 27 years old, the boy gets all excited when I make cupcakes!

Then I started thinking about presentation.   If I were to give this little bit of love to someone, it needs a box.   But it’s a pretty cupcake, don’t you think?   So I didn’t want to hide it, I wanted to show it off….

Here are my deets:

Stamps: JustRite Stampers’ Happy Everything Mini Tag kit, JustRite Victorian Nested Frames, JustRite Stitched with Love borders and centers

Colors: Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, GP White, Kaisercraft Utopia (sold in Kit form HERE.

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Old Olive, copics

Accessories: 3/8″ gingham ribbon (purple/white), turquoise buttons, large green button, purple embroidery thread, bow easy,  JustRite custom dies, fiskars heart border punch, acetate, scoring blade, circle punches, ribbon punch, sticky tape, dimensionals, MS embossed heart punch
