~ There She Goes Love & Happy Mail Blog Hop Challenge ~

Howdy Friends!

Welcome to the second day of our sneak peeks!   There are FIVE new sets this month, so today we’re sharing two.  If you’ve arrived here from Corinna’s blog, then you are in the right spot!  If not, you will want to start back on the There She Goes blog so you can find out exactly what you need to do in order to be eligible to win a copy of these new sets!

Love is definitely in the air.   Obviously, we like to show our love on Valentine’s day, but also just about any other time of year, too!

I’ve been wanting to use these test tubes for some time now and what a perfect opportunity to do so!

To go along with each candy filled love tube, I made these little mini “EYE Love U” cards.

The googlie eyes are actually attached to the inside of the card and show through via a hole punched in the front.   The heart is from the new Love set and the “U” mouth is hand drawn on with a sharpie.   I used a pencil eraser to give the sweet cheeks a little rosy glow.

Colors: Real Red, Regal Rose, GP White, DCWV Sweet dps

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Regal Rose, Real Red

Accessories: 7/8″ white sheer ribbon, 7/8″ red sheer ribbon, hearts embossing folder, test tubes from Taylored Expressions, M & Ms, nesties, corner rounder, heart punch, jute, sticky tape, scoring blade, hole punch, googlie eyes, sharpie, dimensionals, word window punch, pencil

Next up is an adorable mini with illustrations by our very own Iwona Palomountain!  If you’ve seen pictures of Iwona’s little one on her blog, I can see where she took her inspiration!  Such a cutie!!

I went super simple on this.   The background is a piece of designer paper from DCWV.   I cut part of the flower out with an xacto knife and tucked the image into it.

Colors: GP White, DCWV Sweet dps

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Accessories: 7/8″ sheer white ribbon, light blue 1/2 pearl, bow easy, sticky tape, corner rounder.

    Your project is ‘LOVE-ly’ Holly! Sorry for the corniness – I am leaving for the doctor’s office to get my staples removed very soon and I am a little nervous. I am afraid I will sneeze once and BOOM – bye bye back!! Your test tube project is really spectacular – such festive colors and hearts everywhere (LOVE the embossing too).
