~ Close At Heart ~

Hi Ya’ll
I feel a tad guilty this morning as many of my blogging friend (those who use Blogger) are unable to post to their blogs. Blogging can get addicting and if the server is down, it’s like withdrawal!
My week has been pretty darn good. Aside from a couple of rainy days, which we needed, the house has been nice and quiet and I’ve gotten a fair bit of work done. Next week we’ll be on a roller coaster as we prep for Noah’s graduation and festivities.
I have two cards to share today. I made this first card for yesterday’s Ways To Use It challenge. The challenge was simply to use trees. I am shocked at how few tree images I own!
I just adore these colors together. They’re so fun! I took poetic license and colored the leaves on the tree to match the dp.
Here are my deets:
Stamps: There She Goes’ Happy Day
Colors: Only Orange, GP White, retired SU dps
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, copics
Accessories: 3/8″ orange gingham ribbon, pink 1/2 pearls, dimensionals, sticky tape

And then for today’s Free 4 All Challenge, we were instructed to make a card/project where the sentiment is the focal point. Here’s what I came up with:
I had a lot of fun making this one. The sentiment is stamped on vellum then popped up over a piece of the Bella Rose dp. The little heart swirl is actually a piece of the punch out on a heart border punch.
Here are my deets:
Stamps: There She Goes Blossom By Blossom
Colors: Cherry Cobbler, Regal Rose, GP White, Bella Rose dp, vellum
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: 3/8″ white satin ribbon, fairytale rose, 1/2 pearls, circle nesties, Tim Holtz embossing folder, dimensionals

That’s it for today! Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs!
These are just beautiful, Holly! Thanks for the comments on my card on SCS—Blogger is back up now, thankfully, at least for me! I added you to my Reader, as your designs are just delightful!!!
Have a blessed weekend, and I hope all those graduation plans go well!
Love the fun funkiness of the first card. Great colour combo and the tree is fabulous in it’s dimension. Lovely clean lines and use of vellum on the second one!
Glad you have been productive this past week. Can’t believe another one of your “babies” is graduating!! Where do the years go?!
They are both AWESOME!
