Hi Friends!

Way back in 2003, when I first began this hobby, I struggled to create anything that was unique.   I used the same sketch for nearly every card!  Then I was introduced to Splitcoaststampers.com and my world turned upside down.  This was back in 2004, when the site was not near as large as it is now.

One day I stumbled upon the challenges, when I was trying to figure out what those weird letters and numbers that people were using in their upload titles.   I gave it a shot and boy oh boy was I ever hooked.   The challenges opened up a world of creativity and options.   It really gets your mojo flowing and helps you to jump start your own style.

Today I did two challenges.   Yeah, I was feeling a bit on the crafty side this morning :).

First I did the Sketch Challenge (SC346 <—one of those funny number/letter things I just mentioned).

Ok, so I am going to admit right here, right now… I’m in love with this card.   I don’t often squeal over my own creations, but this one is saaaaaaaaaahweet!

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  There She Goes’ Good Times

Colors: Kraft, Marina Mist, Mellow Moss, Paper Studio dp, GP White

Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, copics, Mellow Moss, Soft Suede

Accessories:  1/2″ pink polka dot grosgrain, white 1/2 pearls, faux stitching, circle punch, swiss dots embossing folder, sponges.

And for my second go, I did the Mojo Monday sketch (MOJO204)

I guess this makes it a sketchy day in the studio!  Heehee…

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  Rubbernecker Daisies SKU 506-05

Colors: Garden Green, GP White, Yo Yo Yellow, Old TAC dps

Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, Copics, white colored pencil, yellow pastel chalk

Accessories: 1/2″ yellow polka dot grosgrain, sizzix greek key corner die, circle nestie, large white prima, circle punch, green rhinestones.

And since we’re on the subject of challenges… I wanted to mention that I’ve started a group on facebook where challenge hostesses can link their challenges for all of us to see!   Come “Like” the group “Papercrafters Daily Challenge”, to join!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs!

I totally agree–your card is awesome! I love the sentiment image with the grandfather’s clock and the embossed band under your ribbon. Seriously sweet card! TFS!
