~*~*~*~

October is just a few days away.  While I love that we take the entire month to honor and support the millions of breast cancer patients and survivors, I do that every day.

I have had this project waiting in the wings for some time now.   I put it off as I knew that it would take me some time to complete.   I’m such an instant gratification stamper…LOL   But, I knew that it needed to be done and mailed off to the intended recipient.

Then last night the Technique Lover’s Challenge was posted and it called for putting designer paper on chipboard.  Well, that’s just what this project was all about.  That was my push to get started.   I actually started this Sunday evening around 9:30pm.   It is now 9:00pm Monday night and I’ve just finished.

I’m completely satisfied.  All my love and concentration went into this so that my young friend Cindy may know that we are holding her up as she walks her cancer journey.

~*~*~*~

I’ve had this chipboard book in my alterables stash for a few years now.   I used gobs of the Kaisercraft English Rose dp on this… every page is covered as well as the chipboard accents (tag, butterfly and flower)

I personalized a message as a dedication plate on the back of the book.

I filled the inside pages with encouraging words and poems.

~*~*~*~

Now let’s take a look at some pages…

I used lush ribbons, lace and fibers to bring texture to the pages.

JustRite Stampers’ Be Strong clear sets helped to fill it will gorgeous images.   The Be Strong set is a Crafting for A Cause set.   For each set sold, 20% is donated to Ovarian Cancer Research.

I had to include my favorite What Cancer Cannot Do poem.

Here are my deets:

Stamps:  JustRite Stampers’ Be Strong Clear Set,  JustRite Stampers Just Because Mini Sentiments , Verve Plane Janes Psalm 46:10, various other sentiments are computer generated

Thanks so much for sharing this journey with me.   Remember, October is breast cancer awareness month, but prevention is a 365 day a year job.
