Happy World Card Making Day!   I hope you’ll be getting your fingers inky in celebration today!

Welcome to today’s Ribbon Inspiration challenge brought to you by Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.   You should have arrived here from Deb Saaranen’s Blog.  If not, you may want to start back on   Sharon Johnson’s blog, in order to find out just how you can be eligible for the beautiful candy that you see above.

This week our product/ribbon focus is on velvet.

I’ve always had a thing for velvet.  It adds such a richness to a project.  This lace bordered chocolate velvet ribbon I used is just amazing!

I made this tote bag with some Honey Almond lotions and potions to give to my grandmother who is turning 95 in a couple of weeks!  The fragrance is very soft, and the honey is great for her aging skin.

I created a band to go around the top of the bag so it will be easy for her to slip it on and off.

~*~*~*~*~

I created a card recently that matches this bag perfectly!

As usual, we have a Blog Candy offering for our regular Saturday feature, Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style.  However, in honor of World Card Making Day, we thought it would be fun to give our cards away today.  So separate from the Blog Candy offering, each BLOG in today’s HOP will also be drawing one commentor who will win the card.  How FUN to get a card in the mail that you didn’t have to make but can use when needed!!!  So, commenting on each blog participating today gives you a chance at the Blog Candy offered AND a chance at the card shown as the give-away on each blog — double the fun!!!

~*~*~*~*~

Here they are together:

Stamps:  JustRite Stampers’ Just Because Mini Sentiments (on bag), Wordsworth’s Rose Border cling set (on card)
