~There She Goes’ No Peeking BHC ~
October 27th, 2011 by Holly McMillen
Hi Friends!
Here we go! Day #3 of the There She Goes sneak peeks!! Remember, you should start back on the There She Goes’ blog to find out how YOU can win a copy of this set. At the bottom of this post there is an inLinz that will give you the entire list of links of Trendsetters sharing their own creations today.
Today’s set is called No Peeking and is illustrated by Torico…
No Peeking! is a 6×8 set that includes a total of 53 stamps and will sell for $24. Yes, that says 53!
Funny story. I had this idea in my head the minute I saw this set. I was talking to my 19 yr old son and said that I wish I had someone close by with a young child to gift this to as it really would be fun for a kid. My 19 yr old high school graduate, soon to be marine, said to me… Mom, we should keep it here! It will be fun for US, too! LOL
So here’s my creation:
I apologize for the quality of the picture. The tree stands 12″ tall and it was hard to get a good shot. I gave my husband the basic measurements and design idea and he cut the tree out of MDF. I painted it with acrylic paints over several days. There are 25 different tags for the top spot (all different christmasy images) and there are number tags for the center spots.
Here is a close up of the tag assortment:
After I was done, I decided I still need to make a box to hold all the tags!
Here are my details:
Stamps: There She Goes’ No Peeking
Colors: Real Red, Green Galore, GP White, Crumb Cake
Ink: Versamark, Riding Hood Red, Crumb Cake, copics, white gel pen, black sharpie
Accessories: 1/2″ red metallic velvet ribbon, 1/2 pearls (colored with copics), 1″ circle punch, scalloped rectangle nestabilities, stickles (icicles and frosted lace), liquid pearls, acrylic paint, paint brushes, white embossing powder, JustRite charm dies, Mod Podge spray adhesive, dimensionals
