~ All Wrapped Up ~

Howdy folks!

Right now, I’m in desperate need of a vacation.   A tropical beach with a cushy shaded lounge chair, sunglasses, a fruity drink and a good book.   Yet, I live in reality and instead I will be chipping away at an ungodly ‘to do’ list!   I love love love the holidays, but I put too much stress on myself this time of year and end up longing for it to be over.   I’m so trying not to go there this year.

So to help out with making the holidays easier, we (the TLC hostesses) are going to focus on things that will make your holiday easier or cheaper!

This week it’s all about the wrap.

Remember as kids how we use to make snowflakes by folding paper and cutting  snips out?  No two were alike, just like the real thing!   I took some lightweight butcher paper and crumpled it up good, then I flattened it out and sponged a little antiquing ink on to it.  I decorated it with my cut snowflakes and a couple punched snowflakes.

I created a little tag and wrapped it all together with twine!

Here are my details:

Stamps:  There She Goes’ No Peeking

Paper: lightweight butcher paper, GP White, Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Kraft, Basic Grey Wassil dp, copy paper

Ink: Versafine Black Onyx, copics, Versamark, Tim Holtz Antique Photo distressing ink

Accessories: Red/White Twine, circle nesties, star dust stickles, 1/2″ circle punch, circle punch, white embossing powder, red brads, Aleene’s gel glue, MS snowflake punch, MS branch punch, sponge

Thanks so much for stopping by!!  If you get a chance, come on over to the Technique Lover’s Challenge forum on SCS and play along!

Hugs!

This tag is beyond adorable, Holly! Love the image and his fluffy beard. Great touch with the pinked circle and twine. Here’s hoping you don’t over do it and can enjoy the season more this year 🙂

What an awesome idea, Holly! Love the snowflake and the crinkled paper is genious.

I am so with you on the stressed out holiday syndrome, Holly. I give myself way too much to do and then when the “have to dos” are added in, I get to the “pull the covers over my head and hope it goes away stage”.
