God blessed us with four boys.  Now they are men.  In 43 days, my oldest will be the first of them to enter into holy matrimony.  First, I must stress that I am THRILLED.  There’s one issue, though.   I am a natural planner, organizer and control freak.  The notion that none of the wedding plans were subject to my approval was a bit hard to swallow at first.  I have boys.   Men.  God obviously knows what He’s doing, so I take many deep breaths and remember my place.

I did get my toe dipped in the pool just a bit.  I was OK’d by the happy couple to make thank yous for their gifts.  I knew they had to be super simple so that they would be quick and easy to mail.

Here’s what I came up with:

rainbow splatter wedding thank yous

These were the easiest cards I’ve ever made.  If you’re familiar with my work, I am pretty much known for layers and elaborate bow / ribbon treatments.  I love that stuff.  But this card just makes my heart happy.  All I did was draw the little splatter pattern, copy it, then put the two side by side on my printer to scan.  Then I just printed out a load and cut for assembly.  I had 50 made in just a couple hours (while I binge watched Dead Like Me).

Here’s a little close up:

I used the ultra classy “Thanks” stamp from The Stamp Simply Clear Stamps set, Many Thanks.  I used Brilliance Graphite Black ink.

So, in 43 days, I’m going to be sharing the title of Mrs. McMillen with a delightful young lady who has stolen my son’s heart.  And there will be joy and celebration!
