Best Wishes box close up

Happy Monday!  So it seems I have swayed off the fun fold/fancy fold streak for a couple weeks.  I promise I’ll get back there.  What I’m really looking forward to is working on the kids’ wedding album.  Well they aren’t “kids”, but they are my kids.  I have a pile of over 100 pictures to work with an another batch coming in a few days (along with the honeymoon pics).  My 33 yr old son and his 30 year old bride chose Disney World for their honeymoon.   I hear from the bride that he acted like a two year old the whole time.  No surprise there!

The box I made for this week is special to me.   Several years back I met my stamping idol Sherry Cheever at a stamp show near here.  She was doing classes/make n takes for a vendor and I jumped at the chance.  I was so excited to walk away with a Sherry original!

The tutorial and video for this box can be found on Splitcoaststampers.com in the tutorial section.

I wasn’t happy with just a bow tied in front.  I couldn’t get the lid to stay all the way down, so I used a jewelry clasp instead.

Much better!

Adding the lace was a last minute thing, but wow does it ever dress it up!

That is a beautiful box. I love the flowers you used and your brilliant idea for a closure just goes with the box. Thanks for putting this on notimetostamp.
