~You & Me, Forever~
May 14th, 2018 by Holly McMillen
I have to confess, yesterday was a difficult day for me. My mom passed away nearly 26 years ago. My wonderful Mother-in-law passed away four years ago. The bright spot in my dreary (it’s been raining for nearly 2 days straight) was the different ways that my sons reached out to me. My oldest stopped by for a visit on Saturday. They’re celebrating my pregnant daughter-in-love’s birthday (13th). My 2nd has been staying with us while his apartment is readied for him to move in. He gave me Dove dark chocolates. My #3 son called me from Maryland and my youngest sent me a text. To his credit, he’s celebrating Mother’s Day with his wife and babies.
So, as you can see, I have plenty of reasons to be thankful. Each of them make motherhood a joy in a different way. Now to pull myself out of a funk and enjoy it all!
This week I did a little Americana inspired card. I actually had an American decor in the house we owned in New York. Love it.
