Joy X 3 header

The season is seriously creeping up on me.  I have not even begun to shop or get my holiday schedule together.  For only the 2nd time in a long long time, we’ll be enjoying Thanksgiving with my daughter in law’s grandparents.  Christmas is looking bleak, too.  We’ll be lucky to have the kids and grandkids on Christmas Eve.  It’s not their fault, either.  We live in a tiny apartment and when we all get in here is is quite packed!

I actually had someone request a bunch of Christmas cards to give out and I am scrambling to get those made before Thanksgiving.  I haven’t sent many in the last few years, so no worries there.

This WILL be the first Christmas with the grandbabies, so that part is getting me excited!

There’s a story behind this card.  When I was 9 years old, my family was living in Illinois and the parents were struggling financially.  For Christmas that year, they did buy each of us a pair of ice skates so we could enjoy the frozen pond just a few yards from our house.  I remember that Christmas so fondly.  We spent countless hours on that ice.
